Rain Catchment
Butterfly House

This rural home is sited near
Winslow, Arkansas and is home
to University of Arkansas
professors.  Access to potable
water was limited and the
opportunity to capture and retain
rain became a central design
influence.  The mid-valley of the
"butterfly" shaped roof
catches rain water which is then
filtered and routed to a cistern to
supply all household needs.
